Banks – Starting July 24 at 4 am to July 28 at 1 pm, the westbound ramp from Highway 26 to Highway 6 will close as crews continue a $4.8 million project to repave Highway 26 between Glencoe Road and milepost 53, according to an Oregon Department of Transportation media release.
Residents driving toward Gales Creek from Highway 26 can detour around the road closure by continuing west on Highway 26 and turning left onto NW Banks Road, and then left on Highway 47/Main street in Banks. To continue on Highway 6, drive through downtown Banks and turn right on to the Highway 6 ramp.
The entire repaving and construction project is scheduled to complete in the fall of 2017
This post will be updated once our staff tests out alternate routes to get around road construction.
