ATV crash in Brown’s Camp area results in Lifeflight, Highway 6 closure

Gales Creek – An ATV crash injured two male individuals on Tuesday afternoon in the Tillamook State Forest on Tuesday afternoon, according to Matt Johnston, Public Information Officer with Forest Grove Fire & Rescue.

One patient had a broken arm, while another had unspecified but significant injuries that left him unconscious.

According to Johnston, the two patients were on scene with an Oregon Department of Forestry employee, but left the scene, driving east on Highway 6 before an Oregon State Police trooper stopped their vehicle near the Timber junction on Highway 6.

Lifeflight for one of the patients was called, and as of 2:45 p.m., Highway 6 was in the process of being closed to allow the helicopter to land on the highway.

This is a developing story; this post will be updated with more  information as it becomes available.
