Timber- The Timber Post Office has not reopened after water damage shuttered the nearly 100 year old building earlier this month. According to Peter Hass, a media representative with the United States Postal Service, a full inspection of the building is under way. “We certainly apologize to Timber Post Office customers for the inconvenience and appreciate their patience while we ensure the building is safe for their use.” said Hass.
“The Postal Service is continuing to work with the landlord to determine the extent of damage and what repairs will be required to make the building safe for customers and employees to use again.” Peter Hass, United States Postal Service
Postal customers will continue to pick up their mail from box units outside of the post office, and use the parcel lockers outside of the post office for package delivery. For the duration of the post office closure, post office customers are asked to utilize the Banks Post Office to purchase postage and other services, located at 42355 NW Oak Way.
